To connect culturally with the younger demographic, i.e., Douyin and bring attention to the Met beyond the Met Gala.

Challenge

We collaborated with the MET to launch an interactive campaign on TikTok and Douyin. We asked TikTok and Douyin users to imitate famous artworks from The Met’s collection for a #SaluteToClassics. We then leveraged the popularity of The Met Gala and asked TikTok and Douyin users to post a video of themselves wearing their best Met Gala-inspired outfits. Using the hashtag “#MetGalaStyle”, The winners of each campaign were selected based on the engagement on their post. The ultimate prize was a TikTok/Douyin x The Met co-branded gift set.
