Chinese New Year is one of the biggest holidays in China. UCLA Health sought to grab the attention of Chinese consumers to increase brand awareness by doing a creative activation on popular social media platform, WeChat.

Strategy

Red packets are commonly given from the elders to those who are younger to celebrate Chinese New Year. This year, Hylink wanted UCLA Health to provide elders with a blue packet to symbolize good health. Users could select what type of Chinese New Year messaging they wanted to send to their elders. By scanning the QR code, the person who received it can open the H5 and view the gift of health given to them.
