Transferred from film and television reporter to advertising copywriter, Xavier Sun has more than 20 years of experience in both creative and management. After joining Ogilvy as a copywriter, he successfully worked in major global advertising agencies like Bates, M&C Saatchi, Lowe, JWT, and WE as Executive Creative Director.

Xavier has extensive experience in providing marketing consulting services in automotives, real estate, travel, media, and FMCG, with clients ranging from BMW to Hutchinson to Sheraton to Coca Cola, lending him insightful views on how to build luxury brands in the Chinese market.

When working with Roewe between 2006 to 2014, Xavier started with merely a simple logo and strived to make Roewe the single strongest automobile brand in China. During this period, he also helped build Zhong Fang Advertising agency and assisted in winning it “Agency of the Year” at the ROI Festival in 2012.

Xavier has served as the final judge of the China 4A Gold Seal Award, ROI Festival, MAAD Award, Tiger Roar Award, among others, all while being the director of Effie China since 2019.
