AI could boosts employee’s productivity, what about their mental health?
There is no denying that the world today is constantly hyper-connected. The expectation is to deliver results continually and work as fast and efficiently as possible. It shouldn’t come as a surprise then that 77% of employees say they’ve experienced burnout at their current job, and 83% of workers say their personal relationships are negatively impacted by burnout from work.
According to the happiness index, a healthy work-life balance leads to fewer health problems, more engagement, fewer burnouts, and more mindfulness. All of this adds up to a better quality of life for employees.

Using the co-pilot feature, AI can improve the quality of life for coders who have gotten used to spending hundreds of hours in front of their computer screens. As reported by GitHub, 73% of developers were able to stay in their workflow, and 87% preserved their mental effort during repetitive tasks.
Co-pilot assists developers in boosting their productivity and takes some of the burdens of the workload off the developer’s shoulders. Between 60–75% of users reported feeling more fulfilled with their job, less frustrated when coding and can focus on more satisfying work when using GitHub Copilot.
If this teaches us anything, it is that AI should be used as a means of automating any and every job -automating, NOT replacing-:
- Graphic designers can use AI adaptation tools to ensure that the adaptation process of their work, which is usually the most stressful, time-consuming, and frankly, lowest value, is completed accurately with an AI co-pilot that catches any errors.
- Creative directors can receive prompts towards a particular line of thinking or chat with a search-connected AI function that allows them to brainstorm and see ideas they’re just beginning to think about.
- Copywriters can receive prompts and thought starters to something they just sat down to write to solve writer’s block because they’re also under time constraints.
- Account Managers who are Mid and Junior levels and frequently struggle with writing accurate emails to clients could use chat-based functions to improve their email skills and to improve their email performance.
- Finance can become effective corporate communicators about corporate financial performance by having a co-pilot help them with ideating on how to communicate a concept, a policy to the rest of the organization or the company’s performance to the rest of the organization.
- HR can create videos using virtual humans to automate onboarding tasks, but in a personalized and human way compared to task lists of onboarding. AI implementations can also skip utilizing creative services to create and explain complicated documents and processes in a human way by creating a video by themselves with an AI virtual human co-pilot.
- Legal can continuously update the clauses that they use in their Master services agreements by having AI draft all of the components that are necessary inside a contract template

- Executives who frequently disrupt the workflow of their entire workforce to create a presentation can make their presentations for speeches presentations and thought leadership.
These are powerful incentives for implementing generative AI into the workplace; increasing employees’ satisfaction through collaboration with AIs could reduce mental and physical ailments, increase productivity and improve quality of life.
