Meng Qinghai, Vice President of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and Secretariat of the CPC, visited the Hylink Beijing office recently to participate in a panel exploring the information technology industry in the era of big data. The discussion featured several Hylink executives including our CEO, Su Tong, along with Zhang Lin, Dean of the Tsinghua-UC Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI), who highlighted the “Technology Industry Data Engineering Research” project at Tsinghua University.

At the symposium, Qi Dan, general manager of Hylink’s new business department, spoke on the rapid development of Hylink as the first agency to focus on full channel advertising in China. Mr. Zhang then reported the progress of TBSI and Hylink’s Digital Engineering Center, explaining how the aggregation of industrial data and big data analysis has played a significant role in the development of the industry, as well as the economic performance of the country as a whole. In fact, TBSI and Hylink jointly launched a digital lab at the institution to promote further research in this field earlier this year. The lab is already responsible for several successful programs and studies since its inception.

Mr. Su also highlighted the value of big data in his speech, pointing out how the universalization of the Internet has amplified the demand for data interoperability among the general public. Data has now become a three-dimensional network model that is able to create user scenarios and interpersonal social relationships. In recent years, Hylink has been committed to establishing a network of data circulation to enhance the value of data through cooperative research with universities such as Tsinghua.

To close the symposium, Mr. Meng elaborated on his expectations for the collaboration between Hylink, CAST, and TBSI. He believes that as a state institution, CAST is obligated to popularize data science to the general public. At the same time, the center hopes to become a global platform for advanced technology, while forming a close cooperation with Hylink to propagate the dissemination of data technology further.
