On October 20-21, the GetGlobal 2016 "Thrive in Foreign Markets" Convention/Expo united innovative, forward-thinking U.S. companies seeking to expand the reach of their goods and services to foreign markets with the experts who could get them there. The event took place at the JW Marriott Hotel at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

Domestic and global leaders from industries such as technology, hospitality, renewables, aerospace, entertainment, infrastructure, health, e-commerce and retail gathered in Los Angeles for the first time to share and gain information and insights about how U.S. companies can thrive in dynamic foreign markets

Hylink’s Managing Director participated in two panel discussions. The first, titled: Global Industry Outlook: “Travel, Tourism, Hospitality”, alongside Hub Culture’s Stan Stainaker, James Gancos with The Guestbook and Josh Wyatt of Equinox Hotels. The group discussed the $7.2 trillion global travel and tourism industry, and how it has grown faster than the world's GDP in recent years, offering tips on how to reach and resonate with the middle class in this emerging world.

The second panel titled: “Marketing and Advertising: Resonating Across Borders”, alongside Silicon Dragon and Contributor to Forbes, Rebecca Fannin, Marta Grutka of Bspoke Consultancy, and Rainbow Yuen of Rainbow Bridge International. The group discussed their experiences and expertise on brands resonating in differing societies in addition to their insight on emerging technologies and platforms that provide a space for meaningful interactions.

During the two-day event, Humphrey also sat down with journalist, Edie Lush and Hub Culture, talking all things mobile and shopping in China. See the insightful video here:
